How long does a WoF inspection take?+
A standard WoF inspection at Mao Motors takes approximately 30-45 minutes. If your vehicle passes, you'll be on your way quickly. If repairs are needed, we'll provide a detailed quote before proceeding.
What happens if my car fails the WoF?+
If your vehicle fails, we'll explain exactly what needs fixing and provide a clear quote. Once repairs are completed at our workshop, the re-inspection is free. You have 28 days to get repairs done and return for re-inspection.
How much does a WoF cost in Auckland?+
At Mao Motors, a WoF inspection costs from $60 incl. GST. This is competitive pricing for the Wairau Valley and North Shore area, with the added assurance of MTA Member standards.
When is my WoF due?+
New vehicles need their first WoF at 3 years old. After that, vehicles up to 12 years old need a WoF annually. Vehicles over 12 years old require a WoF every 6 months. Check your windscreen sticker for the exact due date.
