Mao Motors began with a simple mission — to provide honest, quality automotive services at fair prices. Located at 58b Porana Road in the heart of Wairau Valley's automotive hub, we're surrounded by parts suppliers and specialist services that let us get your vehicle back on the road quickly.

Behind the workshop is a story that does not fit on most business cards. Our founder trained as a mechanical engineer in China and spent 7 years maintaining aircraft — work where there is no margin for guesswork and every fastener has to be signed off. He moved to New Zealand in 2002 and has spent the years since applying that same discipline to cars on Auckland's North Shore. Across both careers he brings more than 30 years of mechanical experience to the bay.
